Over the past 12 years of insurgency in the northeast Nigeria, IWAYEC in collaboration with international and national organizations support the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) by providing them with clothing, food items, skill acquisition trainings and economic empowerment activities.

In line with the United Nations sustainable development goals, IWAYEC in collaboration with: The Nigerian Foundation for the support of Victims of Insurgency (Victim Support Fund) is supporting over 4000 women with over One Hundred and Fifteen Million Naira (N115,000,000.00) within Borno State communities affected by the Boko Haram, in the areas of Livelihood to strengthen the delivery of their identified small businesses and scaling them up. This is making a major impact in the benefiting communities, the projects which started in 2016 and ongoing have exposed the women to business activities, improved the production quality and improved the living standard of families in their communities.
